Speed Branding

A DIY Brand Book Workshop

Saturday, April 16, 11am–1:30pm
The Lab at Museum of Contemporary Craft
724 NW Davis St

Instructor: Alicia Nagel

Class Size: 40

Speed branding is a crash course on DIY branding. First we will learn about branding, then during the workshop, participants will receive and fill out a workbook that will help them create their own brand book. A brand book defines the brand and gives inspiration and guidelines for applying the brand to marketing materials. The DIY brand book created in the workshop can also be used to kick-start the participant in working with a professional brand strategist or graphic designer – opening communication and saving them time and money.

Alicia Nagel is a brand strategist and graphic designer in SE Portland. She specializes in brand identity design, which centers around creating a memorable, authentic and relevant logo. Her company, Alicia Nagel Creative, provides full agency services by employing custom teams of freelance talent on an as-needed basis. What You Get

Each workshop lasts two and a half hours, with a 30 minute break in the middle for eating and mingling. Coffee and a light lunch will be provided. Our decision to charge a small fee for workshops was not taken lightly. We still feel very strongly that our programs should be accessible to everyone and are working hard to ensure that barriers to entry are minimal.

About our Professional Development Workshops

Some of the hardest things for creative people to develop are the business skills needed to market and sell their creations successfully. Our Saturday morning workshops cover a wide range of topics to benefit creative minds, with local experts as instructors and virtually no barrier to entry. Learn how to photograph your work, find out the best uses for social media, adopt basic financial practices and much more. With intimate learning environments, heavy Q&A sessions and handouts, you can apply topics to your personal needs.
